দুর্গের ভেতর থেকে পলেষ্টীয়রা য়োনাথন ও তার অস্ত্রবহনকারীকে চিত্কার করে বলল, “এগিয়ে এসো| আমরা তোমাদের উচিত্‌ শিক্ষা দেব!”য়োনাথন তার অস্ত্রবহনকারীকে বলল, “আমি পাহাড়ে উঠছি| আমার পিছন পিছন এসো| প্রভু ইস্রায়েলীয়দের দিয়ে পলেষ্টীয়দের পরাজিত করতে দিচ্ছেন!”
